Pupil Premium
Pupil premium is funding allocated to schools for the purpose of boosting the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. The funding allows us to provide targeted support for our disadvantaged pupils and help them reach their full potential.
Funding is allocated based on the number of pupils who:
-
Claim free school meals or have claimed free school meals in the last 6 years.
-
Are currently looked after by the Local Authority or have left Local Authority care.
How a school spends the pupil premium funding is at their own discretion. However, schools are held accountable and must demonstrate they are spending the funding effectively.
